Mary Ellen Wiederwohl joined MML&K with a background as chief legislative aide for the Senate Majority Floor Leader and later as a lobbyist and public relations director of the state Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB), Kentucky’s state teacher preparation and certification agency. Mary Ellen has strong relationships with legislators and executive branch officials cultivated throughout her decade of experience in Frankfort; she lobbies on behalf of a broad spectrum of clients and specializes in education and health care policy, regulatory affairs and Louisville Metro Government. Mary Ellen is one of only a handful of legislative agents with expertise in the primary, secondary, and postsecondary education arenas. Mary Ellen brings a unique focus to MML&K through her work on budget, land use, and general public policy issues with the merged Louisville Metro Government and its 26-member Metro Council. Mary Ellen is a native Kentuckian and graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Louisville. As Assistant Director of MML&K Government Solutions, Mary Ellen assists in coordinating client communications and strategic initiatives.
