Out and About: Speaking at the Bluegrass Hospitality Association Town Hall

Sara Osborne talks tourism with Commerce Lex and the Kentucky Travel Industry Association.

In 2015, tourism in KY had a $13.7 billion economic impact, with $1.43 billion of that being tax revenue. 186,204 Kentucky jobs were supported by the tourism industry. It’s the third largest industry in the state behind the automobile and healthcare industries.

I always look forward to opportunities to talk policy, advocacy and even a little politics with our clients and their associations. Presenting at a Bluegrass Hospitality Association town hall with Commerce Lexington’s Chief Policy Officer & Director of Regional Development Andi Johnson, and KTIA’s President and CEO Hank Phillips was a great way to start the day. The MML&K Government Solutions team believes helping our association clients develop strategies and educate their members on advocacy methods is a key piece of getting connected in Frankfort.
